Love is a word I rarely use because, just like words like God and democracy it has been abused and misused throughout the centuries to such a degree that, so as to say, so much water has been added to the wine that there's as good as no wine left. I've always had difficulties with it, mainly because in its practical uses it usually boils down to a trade/exchange at best, and a blackmailing powerplay at worst.
And I never liked the merchants of love. Style: ' I'll tell you that I love you if you tell me that you love me.' And speaking those words is like sealing a pact or like a putting one's signature on an unalterable contract that will last forever and a day. We can observe daily how this can cause havoc in people's life's and how the love quickly changes into hate.

But worse than this are the parasites of love, people who only think of their own personal benefit and live like aphids on the insecurities and need to be loved we all share.
