The isle of Sein, Enez Sun in Brezhoneg, is a very small and rather flat island not far from the Beg ar Raz (Pointe du Raz) in Bretagne. It is said that long ago, nine priestesses lived there and that the deceased druids were taken there to be buried. Which is closely linked to the Avalon cycle of legends.
It was my intention to portray them all against backgrounds based on interpretations of actual rocks one can find there, but when the fourt drawing was stolen I got swept out of the mood. To be able to continue, I should have to remake that fourth drawing and then visit Sein again. But there's so much to do and discover...and travelling in Bretagne is difficult without a car.
