ABOUT THIS GALLERY

I became interested in etching after visiting an exhibition of engravings and etchings, and decided to enroll in an evening class in etching. A few years later, in 1984 to be more precise, I worked as a printer in Paris, in the Atelier René Tazé . It is there where I learned how to print on a professional level.
Although I liked the acid baths - I used Dutch Mordant - and the various tecniques like line etching, aquatinta, soft-ground, drypoint etc etc, I gradually became less interested - I did not have my own press, the entire procedure is very technical, etc etc . So I decided to continue drawing and got more interested in colour.
These etchings are shown in the order of creation, starting with the first one I created and consider good enough to show. Also: several were never printed in editions and some are unique prints.
