MALEBOLGE

I wanted to create something that was inspired by Dante's Divinia Commedia, and Malebolge was the ideal theme. The idea of the Evil Ditches of the Eight Circle of Hell was something I absolutely wanted to improvise on. I decided it was going to be a triptych with three panels of equal size, and following the Golden Ration of 1.618. I confess that I never read Dante's book, so my work is not an illustration but a personal interpretation of the theme.
It all started with something I had sketched the year before.
